Grounds and Facilities
Our aim is to ensure that everything you need is to hand for a successful holiday. Please do contact us in advance if you have any specific needs that we can help with.
Welcome basket:
Your holiday begins here: On arrival, you will find a complimentary welcome basket of local treats in your gîte, a gift from us.
Local Boulangerie daily delivery:
Nearly all of our guests make great use of our local bakery daily delivery service (7 days a week!).
You can pre-order from a selection of fresh breads, croissants and other viennoiseries and patisseries, to collect in our utility room each morning and enjoy with your breakfast al fresco. Children especially, love to come and find their bread basket each morning! Ask us for details in advance or order when you arrive.
Information folder:
A guest folder is provided full of useful information on the accommodation, property, local amenities, places of interest and our favourite restaurants as well as ideas for entertaining children of different ages. As owners on site, who have lived in Anjou for many years, we are always happy to help with ideas and our local knowledge.
Parking:
There is private parking for our guests, set away from the main gardens and play areas.
Internet:
Free Fibre WiFi is available in all our gîte and B&B accommodation.
Gîte linen:
All bed linen, bath and hand towels are included in your rental. A weekly linen and towel change is provided free of charge. You will arrive to freshly made beds so there is no bed making to worry about after a long journey.
Pool towels are available for hire. (Please note that gîte towels are not allowed for pool use).
Laundry:
Guest have full access to our a purpose-built fully equipped utility and laundry room, which is equipped with: automatic washing machines, dryer, sinks, laundry airers, baskets and ironing facilities.
Laundry detergent, and most other household cleaning products are also provided.
Exterior rotary washing lines are available in the garden.
Kitchens and supplies:
Gîte kitchens are fully equipped for cooking self-catering on holiday. We provide a ‘holiday kit’ of: hand towels, tea towels, cleaning cloths and sponges, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, condiments, cooking oils, kitchen paper, aluminium foil and toilet roll and more.
Please do ask for specific larger items, such as a mussel pot.
Barbecues:
Each gîte has its own Weber charcoal barbecue.
On site entertainment:
Aside from a great heated swimming pool, we have outdoor table tennis, a five-a-side football area, boules, swing ball and garden toys.
There is a selection of reading material in each gite and a range of board games and a selection of DVD films.
Bikes:
Guests are welcome to make use of our 2 adult bicycles for cycling around locally. A full range of leisure bicycles for all the family, child seats and trailers are available to hire to rent at a local hire shops, situated next with direct access to the official Loire river cycle route at Gennes. (la Loire à Vélo).
Ornothology & Wildlife:
The Loire Valley is heaven for bird spotters (amateur and professional alike) and there is no better place to sit and watch the migratory birds than along the banks for this beautiful, wild river, just a few minutes’ drive from us.
In our grounds, you can regularly spot many local species of birds, woodpeckers, red squirrels, and fallow deer who visit briefly from the local woods.
